Amaterasuto (Japanese: 天照大御神道, meaning “the way of Amaterasu”) is a Japanese new religion and a monotheistic sect of Shinto, founded in the 21st Century. Although derived from Japanese polytheism (Shinto), Amaterasuto rejects the belief in all other deities (kami) found within it besides the goddess of the sun Amaterasu, claiming she is the only one true kami (神).

In Amaterasuto, Amaterasu is the goddess of the sun and the universe. Originally considered in Japan's indigenous religion as the chief kami of the Shinto pantheon,[1][2][3] Amaterasu is believed to exist as the only kami.
